How much memory is correct for a home computer?

How much memory is correct for a home computer?

The site below will scan your computer and relate you want you can use with your motherboard and recommend memory, have to estimation in IE
At smallest:

1GB for Windows XP

2GB for Vista
i suggest 2gb at a minimum. but go 4gb only for bragging rights. depends on your motherboard though
about 1024MB memory and 100GB contained by hard disc.
At smallest 1 gb.
If you don't have abundantly of software running on your pc adjectives the time, then 512 is the best process to go, mete out you can use your pc everyday and it will end a long time. If you have profusely of software running then the best point to do is go beside the 1gig. I don't know if you look at any myspace profiles but if you do, just rather tip for you, every time you open a myspace profile that have a lot of pictures or things that are animated it will pocket up a lot more memory.
It adjectives depends on what you use it for.

Regular home user : XP 1GB/ on Vista 2GB

Video editor/ photoshopper/ visual design: XP 2Gb/ Vista 3Gb

Gamer: the more the better, stir for max, on XP that is 4Gb but im not sure what the max is for Vista but i give attention to 4Gb should be plenty
I am runing 2 and sometimes it is not enough
contained by terms of RAM 2gbs or better is the method to go contained by terms of sturdy drive space its best to consider how you will be using it if your a gamer or use alot of programs in your work 120+gbs you want to progress

if you just use it for web surfing and stuff 50gbs will holdyou down pretty good
2GB for Vista and 1GB for the lower publication of windows.
i would suggest 512mb. 256minimum
