How to install a usb floppy drive?

I am powerless to use the usb floppy drive I have. Is it prerequisite to install the drive?

Just plug it into your usb port. it isn't necessary to install it if you don't want it.

Your floppy probably isn't formated, so u will have to format it. Insert it next go to my computer and click on the floppy. After u click it in attendance will be a button to format it. If there isn't after right click thee floppy icon.
THe USB floppy must be installed, but XP usually finds and installs the correct driver for it automatically.
