We own Windows 98. Will that level of network cam match next to the specifications of our computer. If not, what can the yahoo community suggest?
I am around to search out a logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 net cam?
I would have to concur near the last answer.
Try to locate an elder series Logitech or Creative series camera, or even one of those Lacktec - I mean Labtec cams (through a local bazaar, garage sale or even eBay).
If you are looking for the camera, lately try going first to Logitech's or any company's website to verify the cam will work with 98 (by questioning for compatible drivers) before you start loading it up and the plug and play fail.
That Quickcam Pro 5000 is only backwards compatible to Windows 2000.
Hope this help...
I would recommend that you forget the Logitech Cam. Go to a Computer Fair and pick up an old Labtech Web Cam as it will work better beside Windows 98. It should only cost you around lb5 to lb8 ($10 to $16). Trying to give the latest hardware to an hoary version of Windows will be disastrous as the software that will come near the Logitech will eat your resources as the up-to-the-minute software is extremely hungry compared with the software designed for 95 and 98.
hi adjectives uptodate web cams should see the adjectives windows operating systems if you look on the box it will a show the system requirements
