the message is Please insert a disc surrounded by drive g what does that mean, i never have this problem before,

I am trying to hook up my camera phone to the computer using usb port it displays a message.?
Its trying to look for a driver for the phone because it does not recognize it so its asking for a disc. If you have other things hooked up to any USB ports consequently unhook them unless you need it and try it again. If you own a program for it then use that too. If you updated your PC later that may have interfered near it somehow. Sometimes auto update or updating firmware or what ever interferes with other programs and what not. There perchance nothing you can do just about it.
try restarting your computer.
try plugging it into another usb slot
