I am trying to use a memorex UFD on an antiquated Windows 98 computer and it won't read it. What do i do?

it is a 128 mb memory stick type entity and i put it in the first time and it asked if 9i considered necessary to install a driver but it couldn't find it where i told it to look and very soon it won't even read it

If you go the manufacturer site, they usually will have available downloads adjectives the way hindmost to Windows95.



As far as not reading it, it probably still sees it, surrounded by your Device Manager, you probably have a piece of hardware explicitly disabled, most likely i.e. it.
WIndows 98 can not read memory sticks unless the drivers form them are installed first. 98 was created long in the past memory sticks were even dreamed of.



You will stipulation to install the drivers from a floppy or CD first. you will know how to find them at the memorex web site. If after that it still will not see the stick, you will own to go ito the Device Manager and remove any unknown items, and possible adjectives the USB devices. Reboot and it should redetect everything including the stick.

You have to download this WINDOWS 98 SE UNOFFICIAL SERVICE PACK. Download it. Burn it to a disk and install it on the electrical device, thats it, you have USB working on win 98 se.
